Medicine Use Review

The Medicines Use Review (MUR) is a free health service available in Northern Ireland, England and the Isle of Man, involving a private consultation with the pharmacist to discuss your medications. It is also known as a Medicines Check Up in England and the Isle of Man. An MUR gives you an opportunity to ask your pharmacist any questions you may have about your medicines, such as what they do, why and how they should be taken and to discuss any other problems you may be experiencing so that you get the best from your treatment.

Patients in Northern Ireland are eligible for this service if they take two or more prescription medications for respiratory conditions like asthma or COPD, or for those patients who take medication for diabetes.

Patients in England and the Isle of Man may be eligible for this service if they take two or more prescription medicines and have attended the same pharmacy for more than 3 months.

Check with your local Clear Pharmacy for more information about eligibility.

If you are not eligible for this service, our pharmacists will still be able to offer you advice about any medicines you are taking.
